Our History

The Scarecrow Scramble was founded by the Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation and the Lisle Community Character Counts! Alliance through a partnership formed to make the Lisle community a better place to live, work, and play.

 

Character Counts! is a partnership of schools, government agencies, community leaders, and volunteers working to teach, encourage, advocate and model a unified vision of character in the Lisle community by teaching the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

 

The Purpose of Partners for Parks is to raise money through corporate and private contributions and in-kind donation. These funds will be used for such things as enriching the quality of life in the greater Lisle community through offering scholarships for those families who otherwise could not afford to participate in recreation programs, beautification of parks and protection of natural resources, and promoting recreational opportunities.
